Sohail

Clinical Lead

Sohail has worked at the practice since 2023, with a strong interest in all areas of dentistry, especially smile transformations using modern materials and technology. Outside work, he enjoys dining out, paddleboarding, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Simon

Associate Dentist

Simon joined the practice in 2000 after qualifying in 1990. He has interests in restorative dentistry, orthodontics, and dental sleep medicine, completing further training in snoring treatments and achieving a PGCert in Dental Sleep Medicine. Outside of work, he enjoys sports, skiing, and spending time with his family.

Rozan

Associate Dentist

Rozan graduated from Victor Babeș University of Medicine and Pharmacy Timișoara in 2022 and has since gained international dental experience across Egypt and Kuwait, with interests in cosmetic dentistry, clear aligners, and RCTs. Outside work, she enjoys travel, Pilates, and padel.

Neil

Associate Dentist

Neil joined the practice in 2019 and works four days a week, enjoying all aspects of general dentistry. Since graduating in 2010, he has built strong experience. Outside work, he enjoys staying active and regularly spending time with his family.

Melanie

Dental Hygienist

Melanie is a part-time dental hygienist at Aurum Dental. She lived in Canada for 17 years. Since coming back to England, she has furthered her dental career and qualified as a dental hygienist at Leeds Dental Institute in 1993. She is married with two children and enjoys keeping fit, walking, and holidays.

Katie

Dental Therapist

Katie has lived all of her life in York and has recently qualified as a dental hygienist and therapist from the University of Birmingham, after receiving the Oral Health Education Award for Patient Motivation, donated by TePe. In her spare time, Katie enjoys cooking, walking, spending time with family and friends, and her Labrador, Walter.

Alex

Practice Manager

Alex is our practice manager and has worked at the practice for over 20 years after completing a degree in Health Sciences at York University. Alex deals with all aspects of running the dental practice but particularly enjoys the patient interaction and supporting the staff in their roles. In her spare time, Alex enjoys spending time with her son, socialising with friends and walking her dog.

Clinical Support Team

Our Treatment Coordinator Emma is a friendly face who helps patients understand their treatment plans clearly and confidently. She guides you through your options and makes sure you feel supported every step of the way.

Working alongside our clinicians, they play an essential role in delivering the high standard of care our practice is known for—supporting patients and referring clinics with warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail, at every stage of their journey.
